Gambero Rosso Guida ai Vini d'Italia 2024

GAMBERO ROSSO 2024

The village of Camigliano was born around the year 1000 as an Ilcinese outpost towards the Maremma and immediately became an important agricultural centre, where in addition to wheat and other arable crops, vines were also cultivated. Despite being only a dozen kilometers from Montalcino, we are on the southern border of the denomination, the one that extends most towards the sea. Camigliano, immersed in the lush Mediterranean scrub, has a particular microclimate: during the day, in fact, temperatures are on average higher, while at night they drop more quickly thanks to the beneficial influence of the sea. Good performance for the Brunello Paesaggio Inatteso '18, a wine with persuasive aromas of red fruits, spices, aromatic herbs and smoky notes. The flavor development is clear, with delicate and fragrant fruity tones, with good tannic support. Less complex - but still valid - the Brunello '18: with tones of fresh red fruit and undergrowth on the nose, fresh, nervous, agile in the mouth.
