CAMIGLIANO, the sense of the traditional

CORRIERE DEL VINO

Some of the most renowned wineries in Italy met this summer in Forte dei Marmi to create the VinoVip al Forte event. Event signed by the historic magazine Civiltà del bere.

Catapulted into the elite of the most "aristocratic" Italian companies in search of undisputed quality.

VinoVip at the Forte
About fifty tables with displays of wines from all over Italy. And the Camigliano da Montalcino company among these.

“From the intense scents of our land… an infinite number of emotions and sensations to be grasped immediately… in the magic of the moment”.

The castle of Camigliano, intended as a fortified inhabited nucleus, has a long history to tell linked to the territory of Montalcino.

History marked by popes, archbishops, noble presences, the long dependence on Siena but, as far as we are concerned, the growing affirmation of peasant ownership.

Today it is owned by the Ghezzi family who, with Gualtiero Ghezzi, has become, since the end of the 1980s, one of the VIP references in the Ilcinese wine world.

The cellar, almost entirely underground, was designed taking advantage of the slope of the land whose differences in level allowed the installation of terraces with a pleasant visual impact covered with a layer of grass.

It is divided into two levels: the first equipped with thermo-conditioned stainless steel vats and the second, lower and underground, with the 60 hl French oak barrels department. selected according to the type of wine produced in the specific year and latest generation concrete vats (information obtained from the website www.camigliano.it).
