General informations

WINE:
Paesaggio Inatteso comes from the best and most suitable locations to obtain optimal results. All this in order to achieve an ideal organoleptic balance. Paesaggio Inatteso is a selection of the best Sangiovese on the estate, deriving from a single vineyard of about 2ha.

SOIL:
Sandy detritus, medium textured tending to clayey with a high cation-exchange capacity and a good percentage of total limestone.

PLANT DENSITY:
5,000/ha.

TRAINING SYSTEM:
Cordon spurred.

VARIETY:
100% Sangiovese grosso.

VINIFICATION:
Extremely soft pressing, fermentation in stainless steel at 26°-30°C with light pumping over. Maceration on the skins, which can last over one month depending on the vintage.

AGEING:
30 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

AGEING POTENTIAL:
Wine with excellent structure given the remarkable quality of its sensory components which allows for long ageing: from a minimum of 10 to 30 years, but can also be stored even longer.

NOTES:
Wine with great structure, intense ruby red, complex bouquet with notes of red fruit and undergrowth, amalgamated with balsamic hints. When harvested, the grapes are in optimal condition and have reached all analytical markers.Serve at about 18°C and pair with game, beef, pork, and aged cheese. It could also be served simply accompanied by the aromas of its Mediterranean essence.
