Camigliano Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2007
Almandine with black reflections and almandine rim. The bouquet is elegant, with dried flowers and spice mingled with some graphite shaving and rather leathery fruit that is supported by some bitter accents, and as it opens pleasant greenish artichoke stems and similar vegetal notes. On the palate it's ample and rather languid, with ripe plum fruit supported by languid plum acidity and tannins that have a slight splintery mineral burr and flow into a rather bitter mineral finish. The palate is riper than I expected, more into plum, while the acidity is fairly mineral, and it's a wine that will work for you only if you like the style. If you prefer brasher brighter wines it won't float your boat.
